About Us

The International Genealogical and Historical College (IGHC) is a nonprofit educational institution founded in 2026 after extensive research and development throughout 2025. Created to strengthen the genealogical, historical, and heritage‑society communities of Texas and beyond, IGHC serves as a collaborative center for learning, leadership development, and organizational support.

IGHC brings together individuals and societies dedicated to the preservation of lineage, history, heraldry, and cultural heritage. Our mission is to elevate the study and practice of genealogy and history through education, shared resources, and recognition of excellence. We provide a forum where lineage, hereditary, genealogical, historical, and heraldic organizations can connect, exchange knowledge, and advance their collective work.

Through academic programming, leadership, and community partnerships, IGHC supports both emerging and experienced researchers, society officers, and heritage‑focused volunteers. Our initiatives are designed to strengthen organizational effectiveness, encourage historical literacy, and foster a vibrant network of societies committed to preserving the stories that shape our shared past.
IGHC continues to grow as a trusted resource for individuals and organizations seeking to deepen their understanding of genealogy and history while contributing meaningfully to the heritage community.

IGHC also aims to:

  • Facilitate inter-society collaboration and networking
  • Publicize membership criteria and society initiatives
  • Host an annual educational seminar focused on genealogy and historical research
  • Recognize and honor individuals who demonstrate exceptional service and achievement within the genealogical and hereditary communities

By fostering education, connection, and recognition, IGHC strengthens the bonds between societies and supports the preservation of lineage and history for future generations.
